You’ve seen pork rinds in the store right? A fave of many humans. These are simply beef rinds. They are NOT fried like pork rinds tho.

NOTE: If your baby is on a low fat diet (like my taste tester Molly), then these may not be a good choice, because they are, basically, beef fat.
This is how they’re made: When I get my beef steaks and roasts that I use for jerky, and the big knuckle bones (‘Knucklerz’), there is a lot of fat and skin to be trimmed off.
I used to just discard the fat, but then my puppy Bailey told me “Wait! That was the best part! Why are you throwing it away?”
After trimming the knuckle bones and steaks, I bake the beef rinds to melt off as much fat as possible. Then I drain them on paper towels. Then they go in the dehydrators for 24 hours. After the dehy, they are pressed between paper towels again to ‘degrease’ them. I cannot say they are totally non-greasy, because -after all, they ARE beef fat.
